When will we see any difference to services?

Our reviews of critical care for people who have had a stroke and children’s surgery and anaesthetics have concluded that if we are to continue giving safe, high quality care in the future, we need to change how they are provided

Between January and April 2016 we asked for your views as part of our pre-consultation. Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts and experiences with us, your feedback was used to help develop some options to improve the two services.

Consultations on these options were carried out between 3 October 2016 and 20 January 2017 - and if agreed at the June meeting of the Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups, changes would take place within the next year.

Work on urgent and emergency care services is ongoing and it will be a few months before we start to have wider conversations about them.

Work with Macmillan

The work with Macmillan to support people who are living with and beyond cancer is getting underway and it will be some time before changes are proposed.
